The Max Planck Institute for Molecular Biomedicine in Münster, Germany, has an opening for a Postdoctoral Scientist (m/f/d) (position code 9-2020) in the Bioactive Materials Laboratory of Dr. Britta Trappmann.
Our research focuses on the development of novel synthetic 3D tissue models, in particular for applications in angiogenesis. The models shall be used to probe the impact of physical properties of the extracellular matrix, such as mechanical stiffness, on the development of new blood vessels and their function.

We are looking for a qualified and highly motivated postdoctoral scientist (m/f/d) with a great interest in research at the interface of cell biology, chemistry and material science. Prior experience in the areas of biomaterials, 3D cell- and tissue culture, mechanotransduction studies as well as angiogenesis is desired, but not a prerequisite. We are looking for a team player who are able to independently plan and execute his research tasks.
Starting date will be as soon as possible. Salary is in accordance with pay group 13 of the collective agreement for the public sector (TVöD). A temporary employment of approximately one year is initially planned. A longer-term cooperation is intended.
