7. Juli 2010

Although the first in vitro fertilization took place in 1978, research on many aspects is just starting out. Together with colleagues of the University of Twente in Enschede, the Netherlands, and the Faculty of Biology of the University of Münster, the teams of Dr. Michele Boiani of the Max Planck Institute (MPI) for Molecular Biomedicine in Münster and Prof. Dr. Stefan Schlatt, Director of the Center for Reproductive Medicine and Andrology (CeRA) of the University Clinic Münster will spend the next three years on research that should optimize in vitro fertilization. The German Research Foundation (DFG) and the Dutch counterpart, the Nederlandse Organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek (NWO) foster the project with about 300.000 Euros in total.
