Innovative stem cell project on local regeneration in the body

Professor Dr. Hans Schöler of the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Biomedicine in Münster receives the prestigious ERC Advanced Grant of the European Research Council. For his research project PROMETHEUS, the stem cell researcher will receive 2.5 million Euros over a period of five years. The aim of the project is to regenerate injured tissues or tissues that are affected by age directly within the body – without the need to administer cells from external.
