Max Planck PhD student Katharina Kessel receives Ursula von Euch Grant for talented and motivated young mothers
A career in science and yet have children? For many young mothers, this is hard to imagine. Katharina Kessel, PhD student at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Biomedicine and mother of two young girls in the age of one and five years shows that is it possible. Now she receives an Ursula von Euch stipend for one year. This allows Katharina Kessel to employ a household help and a nanny – and to finish her doctoral thesis.
