Max Planck Research Group leader Sebastian Leidel receives "ERC Starting Grant" of the European Research Council
1.5 million euros of the ERC Starting Grants enable innovative research in Münster on degenerative diseases
Max Planck junior scientist Dr. Sebastian Leidel will foster research on development of neurodegenerative diseases in an innovative manner. The project will be funded for five years. Leidel will employ one postdoc and two PhD students starting from December. Also, a highly modern mass spectrometer will be ordered, which is co-funded with 240,000 euros by the Max Planck Society and the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Biomedicine in Münster. Leidel is excited about this honour: "A ERC Starting Grant is like the Champions League in soccer".
